MINERGIE^® is the modern way to build. As at August 2009, 13,691 buildings have been certified according to MINERGIE^®, 402 buildings according to MINERGIE^®-P, 50 buildings according to MINERGIE^®-ECO, and 36 according to MINERGIE^®-P-ECO. Heated usable areas: more than 14 million m2 in new and converted buildings.

This shows that an increasing number of Swiss people value the benefits of this building standard. MINERGIE^® is a globally protected brand for sustainable building and the most important energy standard in Switzerland for low energy housing. MINERGIE^® follows a clear brand strategy and has successfully established itself in the marketplace as a concept.

The different standards

The four standards MINERGIE^®, MINERGIE-P^®, MINERGIE-ECO^® and MINERGIE-P-ECO^® guarantee living and working comfort, efficient use of energy and economy.

With regard to energy efficiency, MINERGIE^® is the standard, while MINERGIE- P^® is the high efficiency variant. The two Eco standards combine these quality features with aspects of health and building ecology.
