Outstanding facade expertise!
In 2008 EgoKiefer received an attractive contract from the company SFS Services Heerbrugg in St. Gallen. In close cooperation with Forster Profilsysteme and EgoKiefer specialist company De Meeuw from Oberriet, St. Gallen, a total of 80 large post-and-beam elements were produced and fitted for the new SFS Service building. This meant that for the first time as part of a facade project the internal synergies of the AFG Arbonia-Forster Holding AG group were used optimally.
Large glass surfaces and also whole glass facades are more in demand than ever before. EgoKiefer and Forster Profilsysteme provide a very attractive solution here. The combination of the Forster Thermfix Light profile systems and the EgoKiefer XL® window technology gives a post-and-beam system with integrated window units to meet the highest requirements. The MINERGIE-certified XL® windows, thanks to their narrow profile views and flexible colors, can be integrated excellently in the Forster metal construction and impress with their unique thermal insulation. A clear advantage for the customers!
The assembly of the individual components – the biggest element had a weight of around one ton – required an ample infrastructure and a professional assembly team. The company De Meeuw in Oberriet, St. Gallen – a specialist company of EgoKiefer for many years – fulfilled these high requirements perfectly. After corresponding training by the technology professionals of Forster Profilsysteme, the employees of De Meeuw assembled the individual components into elements of up to 7.5 x 3.3 meters in size. The transport to the building site and, in particular, the assembly of the huge elements, required careful planning and, above all, skilful handling.
