An insulation glass sets the standard

Since 1996 EgoKiefer has been producing the majority of its window systems with the exclusive EgoVerre^® insulation glass. This glass, which in 1996 was launched in collaboration with a leading enterprise of the glass industry, has been setting an industry standard in the Swiss market. In practice there is no other glass that matches its characteristics. Thanks to its thermoplastic spacer profile EgoVerre^® surpasses all conventional insulation glass technologies.

Basic version optimised

In June 2005 EgoKiefer optimised the basic version of EgoVerre^®. With a new glass coating, an improvement of the u-value of the glass from 1.2 to 1.1 W/m2 K (according to EN) became possible, i.e. from 1.1 to 1.0 W/m2 K (according to DIN). This was achieved without any impairment of light transmission (TL=80%) and total thermal transmittance (g=63%).

Thus the majority of EgoKiefer window systems come standard with extra light, sound proofing and thermal insulation.
